  1. Water Leaves
  2. Melon
  3. Stock Fish
  4. Dry or Fresh Fish ( If you can afford the two that will be fine, but you can’t you choose one of them).
  5. Snails ( Not necessary )
  6. Kpumo
  7. Cray Fish
  8. Pepper
  9. Magi
  10. Salt
  11. Onions
  12. Palm Oil ( Red Oil )
  13. Etc

Here are the easy steps you should follow and practice:

  • Now wash the waterleaf very well, wash it 3 – 4 times to avoid sand you know what sand can do, so you have to be careful.
  • Break The snails and prepare it well, I hope you can handle that
  • Wash the Kpumo and cut it to smaller sizes
  • Slice the water leaf
  • Slice the Onions
  • Wash the Stock Fish very well
  • Grind the cray fish if it was not grind.
  • Grind the pepper if it was not grind
  • Grind the melon if it was not grind
  • Wash the dry fish very well, if it was fresh fish then follow these steps.

Wash the Fresh fish and cut it into some pieces, wash it again after washing put it inside the pot and steam it very well, you don’t know to steam fresh fish? Don’t worry we are still going to guide you that.

  • Now put the fish inside the pot
  • Add Pepper, Salt, onions and magi on top of the fish.
  • Put it on the fire and allow it to steam for 10 minutes
  • Then after the 10 minutes you add water and allow it to boil for like 10 minutes.
  • After 10 minutes, you remove the fish from the water so that it won’t scatter.
  • Now her is what you have to do next: put the stock fish inside the water.
  • Add very little palm oil to make the stock fish soft quickly, steam it for like 15 minutes by then the stock fish will get soften.
  • Now pour everything inside a bowl including the water and the stock fish.
  • Empty the pot
  • Now, put back the pot on the fire, allow the water inside the pot to dry off ( evaporate )
  • When the water inside the has dried of, put The palm oil ( Red Oil).
  • After 1 minutes, you add salt
  • After 2 minutes, you add the onions that you slice earlier.
  • After another 2 minutes, you add the water leaves; turn it very well so that the onions will not get burnt.
  • Now after 3 minutes, you can Add the Melon and turn it very well and allow it to steam for 5 minutes.
  • After Five minutes, you pour in the water and the stock fish your poured inside a bowl earlier turn it very well so that everything can mix very well.
  • Now Add the snails and the kpumo, if you were using dry fish, this is the right time for you to put it.
  • Also put the fresh fish
  • After 2 minutes you add Salt, magi, cray fish and pepper ( Please you must taste the soup before adding Salt, magi and pepper so that it won’t be too much, you remember you have already add Salt, magi and pepper earlier when you where steaming the fresh fish, so be careful so that you won’t mess up things at this stage because it is very possible ).
  • Turn the soup very well so that everything will mix very well.
  • Allow it to be on the fire for 5 minutes and now you know that your soup is almost ready.
  • After the 5 minutes, your water leave soup with melon is ready.
